MAKE A DIFFERENCE. JOIN PFAC.
Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) plays an important role in supporting organizational efforts and practices that improve quality, efficiency, and patients’ and families’ experiences at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center. They accomplish this by functioning as an advisory resource to the administration and staff of SPRHC.
Our PFAC consists of volunteers from the community, along with a small number of staff members. The Council currently has a limited number of member openings, and you’re invited to apply! PFAC is looking specifically to add front-line team members from the hospital, clinics, and shared services.
Volunteers must be willing to attend quarterly PFAC meetings (held in the SRPHC Conference Room) and to share their time, insights, and ideas with the group. Members should have a passion for serving the community and advancing our goal of serving Huerfano County and beyond.

Responsibilities:
The specific objectives of the PFAC are:
-
To promote a better understanding of the principle of family-centered health care and the services and policies of SPRHC among patients, residents, guardians of patients and the community.
-
To assist SPRHC in continually improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of services it offers the patients and families who seek care at SPRHC.
-
To relay information, needs, and concerns to the SPRHC administration and staff.
-
To strengthen communication and collaboration among patients, families and other nonprofessional caregivers, and SPRHC’s professional staff and associates.
-
To promote patient and family advocacy and involvement.
